Home Water Research’s goal is to provide accurate, honest, and useful information to consumers buying home water products.
Why Home Water Research?
Water is one of the most important things in our daily life. Whether we’re drinking, cleaning, or showering, clean water is essential for a healthy life.
So if your water comes from a well or your city water isn’t up to standard it can cause many different problems within your home.
And it’s not just health problems either.
Bad quality water can cause staining, cause your appliances to wear out quicker, block your plumbing, or cause scale build-up.
Across this site, you’ll find the most up-to-date, accurate, and well-researched articles to help you avoid these issues in your home.
Whether it’s water filters, softeners, heaters, or pumps – we aim to make choosing the right product for your home and family easier.
Home Water Research was started as a passion project during the pandemic in late 2020 and early 2021.
Paul is the founder and writes many of the articles for Home Water Research.
He first became interested in water treatment back in 2012 when working for an oil and gas waste management company. The company would deal with wastewater from oil rigs in the north sea, which needed to be treated and disposed of safely.
In 2015 he moved to Vietnam – a country with poor municipal water quality and especially high levels of heavy metals – and this was where he became obsessed with water filtration. After wasting thousands of plastic bottles buying drinking water for daily use, he bought his first water filter pitcher. Since then, he’s bought and used hundreds of different water filter products for his apartment.
When the pandemic struck in 2020, several friends asked him for advice on water filters so that they weren’t reliant on bottled water deliveries. Realizing that his friends were probably not the only ones with questions, he started Home Water Research.
He now spends at least eight hours every week researching and writing about home water products, to help people choose the best products for their homes and families.
